~One of the blessings of the old-time Sabbath day was the calmness, restfulness, and holy peace that came from having a time of quiet solitude away from the world. There is a special strength that is born in solitude. Crows travel in flocks, and wolves in packs, but the lion and the eagle are usually found alone.~
We all need quiet times with the lord.....even for renewal of strength.
ReplyDeleteI have a mission that serves as the equivalent of a mountain, and I recently maybe because I have been traveling I have not taken adequate advantage of it. I used to walk there every night; your post reminds me that I still need to do that.
ReplyDeleteI love the quiet. When I take time alone with God it is so much more refreshing and meaningful. That is one of the reasons I get up at 4am.
