JEHOVAH ROPHE

Jehovah Rophe is "the God Who heals." As human beings, we have been born into an imperfect world, thereby inheriting the curse of sin and death and along with it, sickness and disease.  There is, however, a solution for the believer.  When we call on the name of Jehovah Rophe, we can be completely healed.

The Lawgiver

I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.  I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.
~
Eternal Giver of Laws,
your divine laws are for us,
for our health and safety,
for growth and well-being.
Teach us to see them as examples of your lovingkindness
rather than restrictions on life.  Amen.

The lowly Servant

I hear myself asking, "Am I treating God as the lowly servant or am I aware that as the lowly servant, I have no rights? That I own nothing except what God is pleased to give me? Am I usurping the role of master and asking God to serve me?"
Each time my thoughts move in that direction, I conclude with, "Forgive me, Lord."
"You are My servant, I have chosen you and not cast you away; fear not for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God."
Isaiah 41:9-10

~
Master of my life,
remind me of our relationship.
It pleases you when I ask;
now help me not to try to run the world for you, not even to run my won life. Amen.

My Master

So now, O Israel, what does the LORD you God require of you?  Only to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord you God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord you God and his decrees that I am commanding you today, for your own well being.  Deuteronomy 10:12-13
Master of my life, as I bow before you and give account of my servanthood, may I hear your voice say, "You're a good and faithful servant, Come and share in my happiness."  Amen.

My Owner

When the Lord chooses slaves, they become his free people.  And when he chooses free people, they become slaves of Christ.  God paid a great price for you.  So don't become slaves of anyone else.
1Corinthians 7:22-23
~
Owner God,
remind me that I belong to you forever,
and you'll never let me go. Amen.

For those of us who are owned by God, we seek our owner's will through prayer.  By deliberate choice, we turn over the decisions to our owner.  If we contemplate that, it gives us peace.  We no longer need to worry, because our needs are in the hand of our Owner.

Thank You Sitka
