Jacob's Father

God said to Jacob: "And behold, I am with you, and will keep you wherever you go ... for I will not leave until I have done what I have promised you" (Gen 28:15)
All of us who are believers are spiritual Jacobs.

~
Even if my father and mother should desert me, you will take care of me.
Psalms 27:10

~
Abba Father, Jacob's Father,
I am Jacob and I am loved.
You are my Father and you love me with
the Perfect Father Love.
Thank you. Amen.

The Divine Connector

Feeling a bit lonely today?  Exodus 2:23-24 says So God heard their groaning and God remembered His covenant with Abraham with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel and God acknowledged them.
~
God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, thank you for connecting me to yourself.  Thank you for connecting me to all the saints who have gone on before me, and thank you for connecting me to brothers and sisters now alive.
We are truly one in the Spirit, one in the Lord,
and for this, I'm immensely thankful.  Amen.

The True Father

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.
Psalms 103:13

Jesus said.  "This is how you should pray: 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.'"
Matthew 6:9

Abba Father,
as I approach you,
help me know that your hand holds mine,
that you're always there for me to lean on
because you hold me,
that you're theTrueFather,
especially when I'm afraid,
alone, and troubled.  Amen.

The God Of The Sacrament

Good Monday Morning.
Did you know that?
Christ died for us at a time when we were helpless and sinful.  No one is really willing to die for an honest person, though someone might be willing to die for a truly good person.  But God showed how much he loved us by having Christ die for us, evenwhen we were sinful.
Romans 5:7-8

God of the Sacrament,
you offer me your loving presence.
You accept me always.
Most of all, you showed me the extent of your love
through the death of Jesus Christ.
Help me grasp the extent of that loving gift to me.  Amen.

Thank You Sitka
