Happiness Grows

You cannot bring happiness into the lives of others without spreading a little of it inside you own heart.

LOOK CLOSER

In the crush of a hectic day, it's easy to lose sight of your most basic needs: whole food, fresh air, sound sleep, love.  Easy to get caught up in the complexity of life, in the expectation and obligations crowding you in.  The path back to serene simplicity doesn't require razing your schedule to the ground.  Rather, it calls for a certian quality of attention (the closer look, the longer pause) and a willingness to look for and appreciate pure sweetness wherever you find it.

Those Who Are Nice to Know

There are some that we meet in passing and forget them as soon as the go;

There are some we remember with pleasure because the are so nice to know.

There are those who at first seem appealing, whose ethics and standards seem high.

But slowly we grow disillustioned, and esteem and respect fade and die.

But it is surely refreshing to find in this wide world today People who grow even greater in all that they do and the say.

A Prayer for Those We Love

Our Father, who  are in heaven,

hear this little prayer

And reach across the miles today

that stretch form here to there,

So I may feel much closer

to those I'm fondest of,

And they may know I think of them

with thankfulness and love,

And help all people everywhere

who must often dwell apart

To know that they're together

in the haven of the heart.
