Shaken, Not Stirred

Want to keep you locks shiny without spending a fortune on pricey products?  Try this do it yourself hair tonic from Philip Kingsely, author of The Hair Bible: A Complete Guild to Health and Care.  Shake together 2 ounces each of mouthwash and witch hazel. Add 1/2 ounce of vodka and shake. Apple the mixture to your scalp with a cotton ball. Massage for five minutes with your fingertips; leave in and shampoo as usual.

The High Rock

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.  He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
Psalms 62:1

I love you, O Lord, my strength.  The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalms 18:1-2

Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer.  From the end of the earth I will cry to You.  When my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.  For you have been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.
Psalms 52:1-3

The Divine Refuge

God. . . is my mighty rock, my refuge.  Trust in him at all times, O people, pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

The Potter

You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to him who formed it, " He did not make me"? Can the pot say of the potter, "He knows nothing"?
Isaiah 29:16
~
Great Potter,
forgive me for complaining, grumbleing, rebelling, and help me submitt to whatever you need to do to make me into a vessel that meets you approval.  Amen.

The Crafter

Great Crafter,
forgive me for seeing only imperfection in myself
and for seeing it in others.
Like them, I am your work
lovingly,
carefully,
divinely created by you.
Thank you, Great Crafter, and teach me to rejoice in all your creation.  Amen.
